TO MAXIMISE SAFETY, WE ASK THAT ONLY ONE PARENT BRINGS BABY, (WHERE POSSIBLE), IF YOU ARE WANTING A SIBLING SHOOT WITH YOUR BABY, THE SIBLING MUST ONLY BE BROUGHT INTO THE STUDIO AT THE LAST 20-15 MINS OF THE SESSIONS.

FACE MASK WILL BE WORN BY SHELLY, CLIENTS ARE ALSO ASKED TO WEAR FACE MASKS WHEN ENTERING THE STUDIO,  CHILDREN UNDER 11 YEARS WOULD BE EXEMPT.

REFRESHMENTS ARE AVAILABLE, BUT PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BRING YOUR OWN, AND PLEASE TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME WITH YOU.

ALL WASHABLE ITEMS WILL BE REMOVED IN A BAG WHEN THE SESSION HAS FINISHED AND WILL BE WASHED APPROPRIATELY.  ITEMS THAT CANNOT BE WASHED WILL BE STEAM CLEANED WITH OUR GARMENT STEAMER TO SANITISE.

PLEASE PLACE YOUR BAGS, COAT AND SHOES ON THE SOFA AREA ON ARRIVAL.  ALL SOFT FURNISHING AND MAGAZINES HAVE BEEN REMOVED.  PARENTS WILL BE ASKED TO ASSIST DURING THE SESSION.

PARENTS WILL BE ASKED TO HELP DURING SESSIONS, TO MINIMISE SOCIAL DISTANCE BY MOVING AND ADDING PROPS.

PARENTS WILL BE ASKED TO SIT ON THE SEATED AREA THROUGHOUT THE SESSION, AND PLACE BABY ON SOCIAL DISTANCE AREA FOR PHOTOGRAPHER TO PICK UP, THIS IS TO MINIMISE CLOSE CONTACT.

PEOPLE WHO SHOW NO SYMPTOMS CAN SPREAD COVID-19 IF THEY ARE INFECTED, ANY INTERACTION WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC POSES AN ELEVATED RISK OF BEING EXPOSED TO COVID-19, AND WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE EXPOSED DURING YOUR VISIT.  HOWEVER THIS IS VERY UNLIKELY DUE TO THE LIMITED NUMBERS IN THE STUDIO AT ANY ONE TIME.

Babies, Babies, BABIES

During April and May LWP introduced a fantastic offer with both Groupon and KGB Deals to promote our Newborn baby shoots and the influx and enquires has been absolutely amazing.

We managed to photograph some truly adorable babies, from bright eyed to fast asleep .... inquisitive and smiley to shy and non fussed. Every single one of them was different, a little adventure in itself.

We're keeping the offer running throughout June but places are filling up fast, so make sure you book yours asap and be sure to tell your family and friends about us.

Hi guys, well Friday 18th October saw Lavern Washington Photography venture into  Leeds to cover the Leeds Fashion Show 2013 Dress Me Beautiful event and what a fantastic night it was.

Designers from all over the city showcased their designs and the public and attending celebs descended on the Town Hall for a glimpse into what would be the next big thing for the coming season and they were not disappointed.

Accent Clothing http://www.accentclothing.com/ Trinity Leeds, LHC Ltd and Urban Coco sponsored the night and lumineries such as Two Jags, Belles Bejewelled, Roc and Doll, Custom Gee, Charlotte Lucy, Accent Womens & Mens, Bo Carter, Blak Label, Hype Couture, Rajan Kumar,Chimp and many more treated Leeds fashionistas to a stunning night and extra-ordinary vision of cool.

Slick presentation, "uber" cool styling, striking models and a thumping soundtrack made the night just flow by.

Those that were there were once again treated to the spectacular, those that weren't ... well, just make sure you get your tickets early for next years bash :-) 

Well since my last entry, we've been busy here at Lavern Washington Photography getting to grips with the Prom Season.

We've dusted off the Tux, straightened up the ties and taken a trip down memory lane to help capture all the excitement, drama and pageantry of the school Prom.

People arrived in all sorts of vehicles big and small, orthodox to the unusual. From Tractors and Jet-skis to the obligatory Stretch Limo and Campervans.

The outfits on show were glam enough to grace any catwalk and everything was carried off in style.

Girls in flowing gowns, sequins and silks with handbags and clutch bags at the ready. Guys suited and booted with dickie bows and cummerbunds.

A massive thanks and special recognition to two schools in particular whose students were an example of perfect behaviour on their nights .... Cathedral High in Wakefield and Barlby High in Escrick. Well done and we'll see you all again next year.

Saturday saw me venture into the heart of Leeds to the Trinity Shopping Centre, 

to help capture some of the faces and

personalities hoping to be chosen for

Leeds Fashion Show 2013.

Leeds Fashion Show organisers were

scouting for potential models for their

forthcoming show and the turnout was

great. Faces old and new turned up to

show their desire to be considered for the

chance to appear on the catwalk and strut

their stuff.

Laura from Urban Coco Magazine was there to soak up the vibe, atmosphere and

colour of a great day with beautiful people in a fantastic city, and also to look out for

that elusive person who might just be the next big thing and could be their next cover girl or guy. 

Some fantastic shots were taken on the day and I just want to say a big thanks to all those who participated, from Cool cats,

European flava to beautiful couples. Big shout to Bob from Image-uk photography and Leroy from Studio86, be seeing you
